The Job
This job was carried out in a family home in Oldham, focusing on a child’s bedroom carpet that had seen around four years of everyday use. As you’d expect in a kid’s room, there were felt tip pen marks, food stains and soft drink spillages dotted across the carpet.
The carpet had never been professionally cleaned before, so although it didn’t look terrible at first glance, there was a noticeable build-up of dirt and residue deep within the fibres.

Our Cleaning Process
- Thoroughly hoovered the carpet to remove loose dirt, dust and debris
- Applied a professional pre-spray cleaning solution to break down stains and spillages
- Agitated the fibres using a professional carpet cleaning rotovator, helping loosen embedded dirt deep within the carpet pile
- Allowed the pre-spray to work into the fibres for effective stain and dirt breakdown
- Deep cleaned the carpet using our Airflex Storm hot water extraction machine
- Rinsed and extracted dirt, stains and residues, leaving the carpet clean and hygienic
- Lifted and restored the carpet fibres, leaving the carpet soft, fresh and revitalised
The Result
The results were a big improvement. The carpet was left clean, fresh and noticeably brighter, with the fibres lifted and restored rather than flat and compacted.
Stains from felt tip pens, food and soft drinks were significantly reduced, and the carpet became soft underfoot again, making the room feel fresher, cleaner and much more comfortable – exactly what you want in a child’s bedroom.
